A group of Staffordshire art exhibitors have come together to showcase original art and raise money for Arch.

Artists Caroline Baggaley, Kate Windsor, Rosie Threadgold, Marg Yates, and Maggie Tuite will be showcasing their work at Val Bourne’s Stoke-on-Trent home during an open house exhibition.

A percentage of the proceeds will be donated help people who have been affected by domestic abuse. Last year, we supported over 5,000 people with practical help and support, such as emergency accommodation, as well as advice and information about domestic abuse.

Val Bourne, Arch trustee, said, “This will be the fourth year of hosting Art at The Villas and it’s all set to be the best event yet. We have five very talented female artists showing amazing, diverse work.  It’s been a real pleasure working with them to stage this weekend exhibition.

“An added bonus is that our artists are very committed to helping support Arch. Following last year’s event one of our artists has begun to directly support the charity on an ongoing basis.”

Marg Yates, one of the open house artists, said, “”This is my first time exhibiting at Art at the Villas and I’m both thrilled and excited to be involved.  It’s particularly rewarding that the event will also be fundraising for Arch.

“I’ve lived and worked in this area for most of my life, including working with Arch.  It’s been heart-warming to see how their much-needed domestic violence work has developed into the far-reaching service it is today.  Dedication, compassion, knowledge and professionalism combine to act as a lifeline to its service users.”

Art at the Villas will take place on 23 & 24 June 11:00-16:00. If you would like to attend the exhibition or for more information please contact Val Bourne on val.bourne@vbcc.co.uk or search for Arch at the Villas event on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/events/230394677696852/
