Volunteers are at the heart of what we do and without their support we could not carry out our vital work. Our volunteers bring skills, experience, energy, enthusiasm and commitment to Arch. Volunteering can make a difference in your life too, letting you meet new people, learn new skills and have fun!

Can you put your general life skills and enthusiasm to good use? Can you spare between
2 - 20 hours per week?
If this sounds like you, then YOU may be the person we are looking for!
If you want to make a difference, are enthusiastic and passionate then we have on offer a variety of volunteering roles where you will be able utilise your practical life skills and expertise to help others. There are a number of opportunities where you can commit between 2 and 20 hours per week and roles are usually for a minimum of a 3 month term. Not only will you be able to use your skills and empathy to help others but you will give yourself new challenges and gain new experiences along the way. As a volunteer, you will also be provided with excellent support and training opportunities.
Opportunities are available across our services which include Domestic Violence, Housing Support and Community Learning. Roles on offer include Support Assistants, Administrators, Retail Assistants and Drivers.

Supported Housing Support
Assistant
To provide a support service to the single unit team within the
department and to assist with the smooth running of the
service.
Community Learning
Charity Shop Manager
To provide support to a team of volunteers and oversee the day
to day running of the shop, ensuring that policies and procedures
are implemented.
Community
Learning Adminstration Support Assistant
To carry out general administrative duties such as
photocopying, printing, and data input.
Driver
Where it is identified that customers need support in getting
to and from their appointments, you will be responsible for
providing transport to and from various locations. You will be
responsible for collecting donations from various locations and
delivering them to the Arch Charity Shop.
Retail Assistant
To work as part of a team in the day to day running of the
shop.
Support Assistant
To support the role of the Transition Advisors in the
preparation, planning and delivery of their work i.e. group work
sessions. You will also provide additional support to Arch
customers.
Warehouse Assistant
To work as part of a team in dealing with deliveries and stock
rotation.

To provide administrative support to the Project Workers,
Coordinators and Service Manager

Helpline Assistant
The Domestic Violence Helpline aims to provide listening
support and information for individuals experiencing domestic
violence and provides a consultancy service for other
professionals
Relationships Without
Fear Assistant
The RWF programme is a six week programme for children aged 8
to 16 which promotes the building of positive and healthy
relationships and thereby minimise the risk of abusive
relationships developing
Domestic
Violence Community Services Volunteer
The community team provides outreach sessions at community
venues whereby women can access face to face support. The community
team also delivers the Freedom Programme; a 12 week education
programme for victim/survivors of domestic violence
Property Services
Painter & Decorator
To work as part of the property services team, providing a
painting and decorating service in Arch premises and residential
housing stock.

Administration Support
To assist the duty staff in maintaining the smooth running of
the Duty Office and administrative systems
Playroom Volunteer
Position
To assist the Children's playroom staff in providing support to
the children and parents of Elizabeth House.
Project Activity Support
To assist the project staff in providing support to the
customers of Elizabeth and Tolkien House
