Our Trustees
Arch is governed by a team of 9 Trustees who dedicate their time, skills and knowledge to help Arch achieve its mission.
The role of Trustees in running any charity is very important - no less so than the Board of Directors for a Public Limited Company. The role is also multi-facetted. Trustees are responsible for holding the management team to account for achieving business goals within our charitable objects, for providing advice and guidance in support of the business, helping to champion the business in the wider community, and also frequently playing a vital part in taking forwards key initiatives through their own personal expertise.
All of this means that it is critical to have a Board of Trustees with a broad range of skills and experience, and a very close and transparent working relationship between the Board and the Senior Management Team.
Arch is very well served in these respects. Our Trustees bring with them a very strong mix of professional and functional experience and commitment second to none with a number of members serving the organisation over many years.
We have also worked very hard together to increase the quality of the information provided to Trustees and to make sure that our formal business arrangements work as effectively as possible.
The work of the Board is divided into three regular committees - the full Board, Resources Committee and Client Services Committee. All of these meet quarterly, and allow Trustees to focus on strategic performance issues, front line services, and resource management. We have an established system of key performance indicators and other reporting mechanisms that enables reliable data to form that basis of Board deliberations.
Finally, we have a much-cherished ability to have a full and frank exchange of views on any subject, ensuring that our relationship is not only productive, but also informative and, on regular occasions, lively!
