Volunteer Role: Supported Housing Support Assistant
Department: Supported Housing
Responsible to: Supporting Housing Co-ordinator
Time Commitment: 30 hours per week
Main purpose of voluntary role:
To provide a support service to the single unit team within the department and to assist with the smooth running of the service.
Tasks Description:
1. Provide a full range of administrative support duties to the single unit team. This will include the production of letters, housing benefit forms, Supporting People documentation and monitoring.
2. To assist the Project Officers where required on a variety of tasks including tenancy sign up's, assisting with appointment etc.
3. Ensure that all Arch management and operational policies are followed.
4. Carry out any other duties and activities that management may from time to time consider appropriate.
Volunteers are reminded to:
1. Adhere to the principles of confidentiality, for example do not discuss your customers details out in the public domain including your home environment.

Conditions of Role:
The agreement between Arch and the volunteer is not intended to be a legally binding contract between the parties and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither of us intends any employment relationship to be created either now or in the future.
Prospective volunteer for Arch will receive relevant training pertaining to their area of work, followed by an induction period of one full day.
Your main base of work will be in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, and/or at local satellite sites. There may also be occasions where visits to relevant agencies or events are necessary.
