Volunteer Role: Playroom Volunteer Position
Department: Elizabeth House
Responsible to: Children's Coordinator and Children's Worker
Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week
Main purpose of voluntary role:
To assist the Children's playroom staff in providing support to the children and parents of Elizabeth House.
Tasks Description:
- To assist the Children's Worker in maintaining a clean and safe environment for the children within the playroom.
- To assist with appropriate activities/events that are provided in the playroom, within an equal opportunities framework.
- To encourage a stimulating, learning environment that promotes each individual child's needs.
- Demonstrate a professional, supportive role to the children and parent's of Elizabeth House.
- To undertake any other reasonable tasks requested by the Children's Coordinator and Children's Worker.
Volunteers are reminded to:
1. Adhere to the principles of confidentiality, for example do not discuss your customer's details out in the public domain including your home environment.

Conditions of Role:
The agreement between Arch and the volunteer is not intended to be a legally binding contract between the parties and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither of us intends any employment relationship to be created either now or in the future.
Prospective volunteers for Arch will receive relevant training pertaining to their area of work, followed by an induction period of one full day.
Your main base of work will be in Newcastle, Staffs. There may also be occasions where visits to relevant agencies or events are necessary.
