Internship Role:    Finance Intern

Department:   Finance

Responsible to:  Head of Finance

Time Commitment: 3-5 days per week

Duration: 6 Months

Working within the finance department at Arch will provide a background and working knowledge of funding in the voluntary sector. This opportunity will equip the placement with valuable workplace accounting experience and to learn how Arch manages all aspects of its accounting function. 

The role will provide:

  • A background and working knowledge of funding in the voluntary sector.
  • An opportunity to support the Head of Finance with funding bids for tenders.
  • An insight to the processing of payroll.
  • Experience of the rent and purchase ledger including receipts, charges, invoices and payments

Specific Financial Projects:

  • To assist with the review of the rent ledger procedures and report specific recommendations.
  • To reconcile the rent ledger and customer rent sheets and report upon the findings.
  • To analyse and identify the pattern behind the reason for customer rent bad debts.
  • To review the Purchase Ledger procedures and make specific recommendations.

Comfortable working as part of a small finance team.
