Volunteer Role Description
Volunteer Role: Driver
Department: Community Learning
Responsible to: Transition Advisors
Time Commitment: Minimum 4 hours per week x 3 posts
Main purpose of voluntary role:
Where it is identified that customers need support in getting to and from their appointments, you will be responsible for providing transport to and from various locations. You will be responsible for collecting donations from various locations and delivering them to the Arch Charity Shop.
Tasks Description:
- Picking up customers to and from their homes and transporting to a various venues and locations.
- Pick up donations from various locations and deliver them to the Arch Charity Shop.
- Any other tasks that are deemed appropriate.
Volunteers are reminded to:
1. Adhere to the principles of confidentiality, for example do not discuss your customers details out in the public domain including your home environment.

3. Adhere to clear boundaries, for example to not give out your telephone number, do not give or receive any gifts however small or second hand they may be, and never led, give or accept any money.
Conditions of Role:
The agreement between Arch and the volunteer is not intended to be a legally binding contract between the parties and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither of us intends any employment relationship to be created either now or in the future.
Prospective volunteer for Arch will receive relevant training pertaining to their area of work, followed by an induction period of one full day.
Your main base of work will be in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, and/or at local satellite sites. There may also be occasions where visits to relevant agencies or events are necessary.
