Training
The aim of the training is to keep women and children safe by encouraging uniform positive responses and appropriate referrals and signposting.
Training is delivered to professionals throughout North Staffordshire.
The aim is for course participants to:
- Have a better understanding of Domestic Violence.
- Understand how Domestic Violence affects both victim or survivors and their children.
- Gain an understanding of the extra pressures experienced by marginalised groups.
- Identify good practice when working with victim or survivors and their children.
- Have a knowledge of Risk Assessment and Safety Planning.
- Understand the importance of working together when responding to Domestic Violence.
In addition to the above Basic Awareness Course we also provide bespoke training packages based on individual Agency needs assessments.
All the above is delivered via a variety of training methods including power point presentations, group interaction videos and case studies.
