Volunteer Role Description
Volunteer Role: Administration Assistant
Department: Domestic Violence Services
Responsible to: Domestic Violence Manager/Coordinators
Time Commitment: Minimum1 day per week
Main purpose of voluntary role:
To provide administrative support to the Project Workers, Coordinators and Service Manager
Tasks Description:
- To ensure that records and information systems are maintained
- To maintain appropriate manual and computerised databases as requested
- To carry out basic office duties including: word processing, photo copying, answering the telephone, and general filing.
- To ensure adequate supplies of paperwork stock, photocopy and replenish where required.
Volunteers are reminded to:
1. Adhere to the principles of confidentiality, for example do not discuss your customers details out in the public domain including your home environment.

Conditions of Role:
The agreement between Arch and the volunteer is not intended to be a legally binding contract between the parties and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither of us intends any employment relationship to be created either now or in the future.
Prospective volunteer for Arch will receive relevant training pertaining to their area of work, followed by an induction period of one full day.
Your main base of work will be in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, and/or at local satellite sites. There may also be occasions where visits to relevant agencies or events are necessary.
