Women's Prevention Programme
Arch have recently introduced a Women's Prevention Programme to assist female perpertrators of abuse.
The goals of the programme are:
- To increase the ability to recognise the abusive tactics used
- To challenge the perpetrators views and behaviour
- To change or modify behaviour by learning and developing new skills to help resolve issues in a non abusive way
- To be able to identify non abusive behaviour
This program is not designed to help as part of any reconciliation; it is to hold the perpetrator accountable for their abusive/violent behaviour.
The goals of the programme are:

To understanding why you are violent /abusive

To take responsibility for your abusive behaviour

To learn that you are in control of your own behaviour and can choose not to be abusive

Learn how to notice when you are becoming abusive and how to STOP

To learn to negotiate and listen

Learn different non-abusive ways of dealing with challenges

To learn to build respectful relationships

To explore if past experiences have had an impact on how you behave now
