Volunteer Role Description
Volunteer Role:
Admin Support
Department: Community Learning
Responsible to: Community Learning Administrator
Time Commitment: Minimum 4 hours per week
Main purpose of voluntary role:
To carry out general administrative duties such as photocopying,
printing, and data input.
Tasks Description:
- Ensure that there is a consistent stock of Community Learning
documentation at all times.
- Log data onto the Arch database such as referrals and equal opportunities information.
- Closing customer files when they have left the service.
- Re-open customer files where they are returning to the service.
- Produce posters for advertising Community Learning events, as and when required.
- Any other tasks that are deemed appropriate.
Volunteers are reminded to:
1. Adhere to the principles of confidentiality, for example do not discuss your customers details out in the public domain including your home environment.

Conditions of Role:
The agreement between Arch and the volunteer is not intended to be a legally binding contract between the parties and may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party. Neither of us intends any employment relationship to be created either now or in the future.
Prospective volunteer for Arch will receive relevant training pertaining to their area of work, followed by an induction period of one full day.
Your main base of work will be in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, and/or at local satellite sites. There may also be occasions where visits to relevant agencies or events are necessary.
