Arch Community Learning Services aim to:
- Equip customers with the skills to progress to and maintain Independent Living
- Introduce customers to new activities
- Utilise skills not used for a long time
- Support customers to progress to employment, training, education, voluntary work
- Improve lifestyles
- Provide structure to day to day living
- Provide opportunities for positive diversionary activities
- Increase customer aspirations

Arch Community Learning incorporates a range of different and flexible services, each tailored to meet the individual needs of our customers. These include:
ACT Now!
Offering a range of activities to anyone age 16+ that is vulnerable and needs support. Support is offered through group work and one to one activities on lifeskills and employability.
Newcastle Young Person's Officer
Diversionary Activities - for anyone age 16+, living in or from Newcastle-under-Lyme that is not currently (or is at risk of not being) in Education, Employment or Training. Support is offered through a range of activities including lifeskills, employment, training, volunteering, sport and leisure activities.
Schools Service - this service focuses on delivering sessions on 'Homelessness and the Realities of Independent Living', to schools within the Newcastle-under-Lyme area. The aim of this is to prevent youth homelessness and provide information on where to get support where an individual is at risk of homelessness.
Stop Smoking Service
Offers support to anyone that is ready to give up smoking. Vouchers are provided as part of the programme that enable customers to obtain smoking cessation aids.
Activ8
Is a programme for anyone age 16 to 19 and living in Staffordshire or Stoke-on-Trent, at risk of dropping out of school or college, have already left but you're not in a job or on a training course.
Rehabilitation Officer for Offenders
One to one and group work support for the Ashwood Project (anyone that has left prison or is at risk of offending). This support focuses on lifeskills, leisure, employment, training and volunteering.
