Volunteer Role Description
Volunteer Role: Shop Manager
Department: Charity Shop
Responsible to: Community Learning Development Co-ordinator
Time Commitment: Minimum of 3 days per week
Main purpose of voluntary role:
To provide support to a team of volunteers and oversee the day to day running of the shop, ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented.
Tasks Description:
1. Provide appropriate guidance and support to all volunteers.
2. To develop and maintain a rota for the use of volunteers.
3. To deal with any customer complaints.
4. To participate in the recruitment of potential volunteers.
5. To work with the Community Learning Development Co-ordinator in developing systems and working practices for the running of the shop.
6. To perform front line duties in the absence of volunteers.
7. To attend training and other support meetings as necessary.
8. To uphold Arch policies such as the equal opportunities and health and safety policy.
Your main base of work will be in 65 Church Street, Stoke, and Arch Head Office, Canalside, Pelham Street, Hanley, as and when required.

Ability to handle cash; taking money from customers and giving change.
