Thank you for support
ON BEHALF of Wolstanton Rotary Club, I write to thank the people of Wolstanton and everyone else who supported our recent Christmas Appeal.
We all recognise that the current economic climate is difficult, but even against this backdrop we managed to collect in excess of £2,000.
This would not have been possible without the support of Asda in Wolstanton and Marks & Spencer, in Hanley, which both kindly allowed us to collect at their stores.
Even the cold, snowy nights of the week of December 13, when Santa and his helpers toured the streets of Wolstanton on five consecutive evenings, did not deter people answering their doors.
We really do wish to thank all those who gave so generously.
The main beneficiary of the appeal this year is The Arch - North Staffordshire, which provide helps and shelter to the homeless in the local community.
