Charity Shop Launch
Arch Charity Shop in Stoke has recently re-launched it's charity shop. The event included a fashion show, where clothes that had been donated were exhibited by Arch staff and customers. The event was well attended by external agencies, Arch staff and trustees, customers and volunteers. Paula White from BBC Radio Stoke was also present to officially re-launch the shop, and also provided excellent radio coverage through regular news bulletins.
The reason behind the event was to re-launch the shop that was in much need of a refurbishment. Arch were supported by Vodafone with this venture as they raised funds that enabled us to carry out a refurbishment. Vodafone staff also gave up their time to assist Arch in helping to redecorate the shop.
The event was a great success and it helped to raise the profile of Arch and charity shop, we also manage to raised extra funds through guests purchasing items and a raffle.
Since the event we have seen an increase in takings at the shop, and customers regularly comment on what a difference the refurbishment has made.
