Funding Received for Innovative Working to Benefit Clients
Arch (North Staffs) have received £10,000 from Awards for All, part of the Big Lottery Fund to revolutionise current support services provided to vulnerable people in Stoke-on-Trent.
The funding will equip Key Workers with the technology to enable them to work remotely, improve efficiencies and dedicate more time with their clients to support them in achieving their goals.
Upon engagement, clients undertake an initial assessment resulting in an Independent Living Plan. Subsequent meetings investigate 29 areas of support and a Support Plan is created for each area. The new technology will enable Key Workers to access files remotely, save electronic copies of the plans and print a copy immediately for the client, providing an immediate environmental impact with a reduction of paperwork.
Administration will be dramatically reduced, enabling the Key Worker to devote more quality time in supporting the client.
Arch is a registered charity that operates throughout Staffordshire and provides accommodation related support services to homeless people and people at risk of becoming homeless.
The aim of the organisation is to support people to achieve and maintain their own homes and to become fully integrated members of the local community. Arch provides services targeted at specific groups of people including people experiencing domestic violence, young people leaving the care of the local authority, people with an offending history and single homeless people and families.
Mark Buffey-Corrigan, Business Development manager said "This is great to receive the maximum funding available from Awards for All. We have conducted a short pilot test for this project and the client's felt the increased efficiencies meant they were receiving much more from their Key Worker, who himself loved the reduced paperwork."
